Scripture
1. James 5:8 “You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.”
2. 1 Peter 4:7 “The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.”
3. Revelation 22:7 “‘Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.'”
4. Revelation 22:10 “Then he told me, ‘Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near.'”
5. Revelation 14:15 “…’Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.'”
6. Revelation 22:20 “He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming soon.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.”
There is much more in Scripture regarding the Lord’s return; what has been written here is but a small fraction.
Even so, after reading through all of this, you will naturally find yourself asking: “Is it time for the Lord to come?”
My hope is that after seeing these things, you will go to the Lord’s feet and seek Him yourself — for only the Lord can grant you revelation.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7–8)
May you also see clearly, in the Lord’s light, whether you are seeking because you are one who is waiting for the Lord’s return — or merely to gain knowledge, or out of curiosity. I believe that only those who are truly waiting for the Lord will receive genuine benefit from these things.
But even if you are not yet one who waits for the Lord’s return — if you can see that you ought to become one — you may ask right now the God who “gives generously to all without finding fault,” that He would make you into one who waits for Him.
May the Lord bless you!
